KARACHI: PPP chief Asif Zardari would reach Karachi airport on December 23, this was announced by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a news conference today.
Doctors have allowed former President Asif Zardari to travel, so he is coming back and will be with us on Dec 23, Bilawal said.
Unless PML-N accepts our four demands, which include bill on Panama Papers, there will be no democratic accountability in the country, he added.
PPP chairman said since Asif Zardari is coming back, we hope to get our demands met under his able leadership.
Referring to cases against Dr Asim, Bilawal blamed PML-N for victimizing PPP. Our Karachi president is political prisoner of Chaudhry Nisar, he said.
My family is not named in the Panama Papars, but the prime minister’s children are, which is a serious matter, he maintained.
Asif Zardari went out of the country in June 2015, days after a surprising outburst in which, he said politicians were better suited to running the affairs of the country. You are here for only three years, he said in an apparent jab at the then army chief.
The PPP wants the enactment of the Panama Papers Inquiries Bill 2016, implementation on the all parties conference’s recommendations pertaining to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, a parliamentary committee for oversight of the National Action Plan and appointment of a full time foreign minister.
