TEHRAN: Iran is to take possession of the first plane this week in a huge order from Airbus placed after the lifting of world sanctions, state carrier Iran Air stated Sunday.
“This airplane has got its certificates of registration and an Iran Air group is in situation to take delivery of it,” the airline´s chief government officer, Farhad Parvaresh, advised the Fars news agency.
“We hope to take supply between now and the tip of the week.”
Iran Air accomplished the massive deal for one hundred Airbus planes with a list value of around $20 billion (19 billion euros) on December 22.
